Sunshine Service Brake & Alignment

I went to Sunshine Service this morning for a smog check and a brake check. Amazingly, I had a great time waiting for my car to be serviced! Who does that? I was greeted by customer service agent, friendly Scott, who confirmed my appointment, and let me know what was going to be entailed. I wasn't sure if my brakes needed replacing so I stuck around for the "report". The waiting room is roomy and clean, with very comfortable chairs. There is coffee and a fridge full of drinks. You can watch their flat screen TV, or not. Besides Scott, the owner, Mark, and the other customer service agent, Kalii were also most congenial and informative. This is a HUGE plus! I have sat in the Lithia Volkswagon Service waiting room and listened to the customer service reps mock the customers who have called in and laughed about their customers' problems after interacting with the customers as if they really cared. This was the farthest thing from what I heard at Sunshine! In fact, I could hear Kalii calling customers and inquiring as to how well their service to their cars had been performed. This place cares! After a short time period, Scott let me know what they had found so far (in this case, NOT FOUND as my brakes were fine). (Obviously, not in it just to make bucks. I had NO problems?) He told me they would put the wheels back on and I could take the mechanic on a ride and see if I was experiencing the same problem but that they thought it was all a case of a need to rotate my tires, and they were doing that. I took the mechanic, Kenny, on a ride (also a very nice man, especially since I almost got us in an accident and he helped me avoid it) and could not detect the problem. They explained that because I have on snow tires, they are very aggressive and need to be rotated every time I get the oil changed. Guess who will be doing that from now on? Yep. Sunshine Services. Kenny went the extra mile and explained that if I just drove the two blocks to DMV and used the automative teller, I could use my postcard from DMV and renew my registration in less than 5 minutes and that I would even get the printed registration and tag for the car right then. And that's exactly what I did. Who would rave about a car service business? Me. Because I have definitely experienced the worst service in the world elsewhere and have now experienced the best! Go there. You won't be sorry.

I am a novice when it comes to RVs and I noticed that my trailer tires are wearing unevenly. I bought the Jayco trailer in Jan 2014 from Camping World in Tucson, AZ. The trailer was new had I drove it for less then 7,000 miles. I took it in to check out the alignment. Scott was my service attendant for my RV trailer and was very helpful to explain the issues from uneven tire wear. During the service Scott communicated to me that the wheels were loose and the bearing will need to be repacked and sealed. While working on the bearings the brakes were checked .... turned out that the brakes may not have been installed correctly... the magnets on all 4 brake assembles were unattached and rubbing on the reims making metal shavings. The bearings were packed, the brakes were replaced and the alignment....which had been so far off... was corrected. The total job and replacement of tires was costly. I called Jayco to explain the issues I was having and to recover some of the cost because the trailer was still under warranty, but got no where. However, Scott spoke with the manufacturer and was able to recover a portion of the cost for the brakes. Throughout this process I became aware that I was sold a trailer that was not properly prepared by Camping World....so for you 'new be trailer purchasers' ..."Buyer Beware" is an appropriate slogan.Thanks to Sunshine Brake & Alignment Specialist and Scott in particular for assisting me and correcting the issues with my trailer.

I stopped in at Sunshine on a recommendation from Paramount RV. We have a brand new motorhome and wanted some help addressing sway control concerns. Little did I know just how knowledgeable these guys are on the subject! Scott spent a great deal of time explaining some options to me and then told me about the Road Performance Assessment they offer. I set up an appointment for the following week to get the RPA. The RPA with Jim and Rex gave me a TON of information about my coach....what I had, what I needed, and where I could improve.....right down to coach weight at all four corners to help me with proper tire inflation and better equipment loading strategies. This was exactly what a motorhome novice like me needed; I left feeling much more informed and confident. Based on the information provided by the techs, Scott sent me home with four possible estimates of work that could be done to give my wife and I a more positive, less stressful driving experience. The nicest thing about it is that I was able to take my time to research the various products and make decisions about what we wanted to do and when we wanted to do it. I already have my next appointment set up to get some of the work and enhancements done. Although it is a costly investment, the safety and peace of mind being added is invaluable to us. I was pleased to hear, too, that Jim will do the work; he struck me as highly knowledgeable and the consummate professional.
